"Highlight of our trip to Italy!"
This was the most amazing wine tour I’ve been on. First off I’d like to say that aside from the delicious wine, our host Sally and Guido were hospitable, personable and extremely knowledgeable in their kraft. First, our train from Rome was delayed and when we arrived they were there to greet us. We were in constant contact with them and they didn’t hesitate to give us directions (which train to catch, etc.). We then travelled by a very comfortable van to the winery. The winery was amazing. We were able to witness the entire process from growing the grape to bottling the wine. Our small party also sampled several bottles of the most delicious wine! We were then able to purchase their select wines, I only purchased six bottles which I regret because only two made it home! Word of advice, if you can manage to purchase more to ship home it’s well worth the cost. I can’t find wine like this here in California. After the wine tour Sally and Guido invited us into their home. I can’t say enough about how memorable this made the trip. We enjoyed more wine, fresh bread, cheeses, meats, olives and fresh olive oil made in small batches by Sally and Guido personally. The whole experience was so memorable that I’m already planning to go back with my family to enjoy their bead and breakfast, cooking class and to return to the winery. My last note is - this is not a “touristy” tour. There were no other people around, only our group and that definitely lent t the personalization of the tour.

"Small & Unique Wine Tasting Experience"
My husband and I took this tour, on our trip through Rome. It was really enjoyable! We met with Guido, Sally, and two other folks on the tour. They met us at the train station, drove us through the countryside, which is breathtakingly beautiful. We tasted wine at a small, renowned vineyard nearby. It was beautiful. The owner of the vineyard only spoke Italian, so Guido translated everything for us and helped us ask our questions. It was one of the best wine tours I have been on. Not overly verbose and very comfortable.
We enjoyed our wines, with small snacks, and went back to Sally and Guido's home. We got to meet little Rocky, their pup, who was adorable. We shared conversation, more wine, and local cheeses, meats, and breads from around the corner. After an hour or two, they drove us back to the train station, where we took a 35 minute train back to Rome.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking to meet a few nice people, get a less inflated version of an Italian winery, and doesn't want to have an all day commitment of travel. It was great, and we'd do it again.

"Highlight of our trip"
We had such a fantastic time on our half day wine tour. Sally and Guido were fantastic. We were picked up from the train station and brought to the winery. We learned all about the process of wine making from one of the actual wine makers. We sampled several of the wines and were also given the opportunity to purchase the wine.
Sally and Guido then brought us to their home a little drive away from the winery. Here we got to sample more wine and a fabulous selection of local meats and cheeses while taking in the gorgeous view from the terrace.
I couldn't recomend this tour enough.

"Memories for a life time"
One of the best days I have ever had out and a great way to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday. Our tour guides were extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the area witch made the experience all the more enjoyable. The wine,food and views were just perfect.

“A truly authentic wine tasting"
We had a fantastic Wine Tour with Sally & Guido, they are very knowledgeable about the local area's wine production & such gracious hosts.
I wanted a really authentic wine tour, there were tours in Rome but this was the only one I found where we could actually visit a vineyard, and be able to see and learn about how wine is really made.
The Roman countryside setting is really beautiful and you get a good feel for the culture and preservation of the local produce. Needless to say, we had a small group and drank a lot of wine!
I would highly recommend this tour for both wine tasting beginners & experts, the experience is really worth it, plus you get to meet great people & taste delicious wine!

“A unique and personalized experience!”
My mother, my step-father and I did the half-day wine tour and it was really informative and personalized. The wines and foods were amazing! A very big thank you to Sally and Guido who took very good care of us by answering all our questions before and during the tour. I highly recommend the experience if you want to learn more about wine making and just spend a relaxing day in the beautiful Italian countryside! Would love to comeback for cooking classes one day!

“Wonderful Experience!”
We did the half day Rome Wine Tour. We were a little apprehensive about taking the train out of Rome, but it was very easy! Guido and Sally were at the station waiting for us. We had a wonderful ride out into the country to a winery where the owner met us and explained the wine making process. Then we sampled several of the wines and had food to enjoy with the wines. Next we on to their charming family terrace. There we were served more wines and food. Make sure to take your camera! It was a fantastic excursion! Next time I hope to be able to spend more time with Sally and Guido!

“Wine Tours in Roman hills”
Easily booked our half day experience online, excellent communication for directions, tour details, etc. Was a wonderful trip outside of Rome to the Italian countryside. Tasted wines from a local vineyard, then we were welcomed into Sally and Guido's home for a taste of a couple other local wines, as well as meats, cheeses, olives, and breads from the surrounding area. Was such a great change of pace and scenery from the bustling centre of Rome; my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on our tour! Would definitely be interested in another or one of the cooking classes on our next visit!

It was a great Tour! You get to see a lot of the Rome countryside. Guido, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. The winery was great and you get a sample of delicious local food as well. It was a perfect day! Pace yourself on the wine! Overall, the Rome winery tour well exceeded my expectations. The drive back to the local station at the end of the day was the perfect ending to a perfect day.

"Fun, Educational wine tour"
We booked this Rome winery tour ahead of time for my wife and myself.
She checked a few wine tours near Rome ahead of time to find one she felt would be a good one, she previously worked in Tourism and felt that this was a good way to see the Rome countryside and appreciate its wines.
The reasons that this wine tour worked for us:
1. They used a small shuttle bus rather than large buses
2. The wine tour ran to schedule and the driver/guide was very informative and friendly
3. We found we got value for our money spent, we went to a really special boutique winery, we discussed wines with real experts and we learnt about their passion
4. The wine tour felt unrushed and unhurried and the individual stops were quite educational.
5. We discovered a wine producing area near Rome that's simply beautiful and similar to Tuscany
The overview was that we enjoyed this wine tour near Rome, and would definitely recommend it. The tour number was nice and not to large. We got good value for our money compared to other half day wine tours we have done elsewhere. The countryside near Rome was a fun place to go! I like wine, it was fun to see where and how it is made!

We booked this Rome day trip while we were visiting Rome. We did not have, or want, a car but wanted to visit wineries around Rome. This tour is incredible! Fantastic winery with great wines and beautiful venues. 'Diverse wines and beautiful Italian wine country!'
Some friends and I recently took the tour with Rome Wine Tours and had a great time. We feel that we got a good understanding of many different wines and grapes of the region near Rome. Most of the people in our group had never been to that area of Italy and we all thought that the ride from the station to the winery was very scenic. We also had very friendly guides (Sally & Guido) who gave us the background on the history of the region, the wine making process, the best way to purchase and travel with wine (which is very important if you're traveling home by plane) and the colourful cast of characters that made the area what it is today. Our wine tour and tour guides exceeded our expectations and have definitely motivated us to travel back to this part of Italy in the near future.
